This Direct Dividing head can be used in either a horizontal and vertical position. Using one of the mas-king plates provied(6 pieces) the Head can carry out many dividing functions. Indexing of 2,3,4,6,8,12and 24 divisions can be rapidly and simply carried out. The 3-jaw chuck also simplifies the indexing of some workpieces.
For indexing work loosen the clamping lever for spindle and turn the lever for latch in a clockwise direction. After this, rotate the work-piece manually to desired position and clanging of spindle.
While the changing of division is required remove the thrust plate at the rear of spindle and change the masking plate required. Having finished this, replace the thrust plate. Teeth numbers of masking plates: 2,3,4,6,8,and 12.
